About Ron

Ron is an artist based out of Highmount, New York (in the Catskills) and Long Island, New York and works primarily from his Monka Hill Studio.   Ron grew up in Brooklyn surrounded by art and was taught to draw and paint in oil by his father.  Ron has studied at The Art Students League of New York, the National Academy of Design and the Art League of Long Island.

Ron enjoys painting all subject matters and currently works principally in watercolor.  Ron admires the effect and mystery of the watercolor medium and enjoys both his studio work and working in plein air.  Often in Ron’s paintings you will see the subject from a unique perspective and with an interesting play of light upon it.
